Is eating onions raw beneficial for acne? It seems so. If you have pimples on your face, back or other areas of your skin, onions may be able to help. Grown women and men, as well as people in their teenage years have added this seasoning to their diet in order to help keep their face clear of pimples.

Onions have several health benefits and are regarded as good for the heart. They contain several ingredients that kill germs and fight infection in different parts of the body. This is one of the reasons why they are so good at keep your skin clean and free of whiteheads and acne bumps.

If you enjoy eating onions, the health benefits will tend to come naturally to you. However if you can’t stand the taste of onions, it may be a little more difficult for you to receive the cosmetic benefits.

In this case, you will need to look for foods that supply similar nutrients. However, onions are one of the most sulfur rich foods available today. The mineral sulfur helps to keep the skin healthy. It does this by regulating the production of certain hormones in the body. If you don’t get enough sulfur, you can actually develop acne as a result of that.

Onions can be eaten raw or cooked in order for you to benefit from their medicinal benefits. The properties of onions are such that you don’t have to consume them raw if you don’t want to. Unlike tomatoes, which release more of certain nutrients when cooked, onions help the body to fight germs even when they have not been heated.

If you don’t like onions, you may also be able to mask the taste slightly by combining this seasoning with others. For example, if you have onions in soup, the taste won’t be as obvious. However if you are really fond of the flavor, have them raw in salads, such as saltfish salad or add the purple variety to a blend of cabbage, tomatoes and other vegetables.
